Our Mission
The Helping Hand Worldwide makes a difference in real lives. We are committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by addressing hunger, under-employment and illiteracy through multi-cultural programs and community improvement projects.
The Helping Hand Worldwide exists to combat hunger and poverty by providing food, medicine, clothes, toys, cribs, books and educational materials to people in need. In 2007, The Helping Hand Worldwide works with 43 charitable organizations to provide assistance to approximately 16,000 people per month including 13 food banks. The Helping Hand Worldwide’s primary focus is on children, seniors, and military families.
Our Charter
Our organization strives to serve the vulnerable in our communities and their families and o provide emergency assistance, crisis intervention and services for those with special needs.
Our Vision is to have a gathering place for everyone in the community to find information and support. We are committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by specifically addressing hunger, under-employment, and literacy, and to providing support for multicultural programs, community improvement projects, and cultural enrichment.
Our Commitment
To accomplish our goals we rely on over 95 committed volunteers. As of today we do not have any paid staff and 98% of all funds raised goes directly to our cause.
Helping Hand Worldwide tracks its effectiveness in the following ways:
· Ongoing statistical reports with variance comparisons to previous years
· Annual meetings with all agencies
· Annual client surveys
· Growth in services provided and donor support
